Admission into the and MBA Programmes of Continuing Education Centre, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike for the 2012/2Ol3 Academic Session
Applications are invited for admission into the following postgraduate programmes of the Continuing Education Centre for the 2012/2013 academic session.
a.) PGD:
1. Accounting
2. Banking & Finance
3. Marketing
4. Agribusiness Management
5. Entrepreneurial Studies/Entrepreneurship
6. Human Resources Management
b.) PGDE: Education
Qualification:
Holders of B.Sc, B.A, HND, Third Class/Pass Degrees in any discipline other than Education.
c.) MBA
1. Accounting
2. Banking & Finance
3. Marketing
4. Agribusiness Management
5. Management/Business Administration
6. Human Resources Management
7. Entrepreneurship.
D Admission Requirement
a. PGD
i. Holders of Pass or third class honours’ degree of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) or other institutions recognized by Senate or
ii. Holders of Higher Diploma (HND) with at least lower credit in Management Sciences or related course of other institution recognized by Senate.
b. MBA
i. All candidates must have five credit passes including English and Mathematics at the “O” level a basic requirement at one or two sittings.
ii. Candidates must hold at least a good 2nd class honours degree from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, or other recognized institutions, Graduates whose degrees are not in the area of economics, finance, accounting, management and other related business course or who hold a degree in business administration, engineering sciences, or agricultural sciences but are deficient in their proposed area of specialization will be required to take a Postgraduate Diploma Programme.
iii. Holders of HND/Third Class Degree and/or professional qualifications in administration are eligible for admission but must go through a mandatory nine months Postgraduate Diploma in the University provided they meet the basic University entry qualification.
iv. Membership of recognized professional bodies like ICAN, ANAN, ICPAN, ACMA, CPA, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, as well as any other professional qualification or professional competence as may be approved by the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
v. Candidates who have obtained by examination, professional qualifications in any of the areas specified in (II) above and acceptable to the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
vi. In addition to either (ii) or (iii) above requirements, candidates must currently be working or holding middle or top management positions in the organizations.
vii. All candidates will be required to go through selection interview/test. Candidates to be admitted must have attained a satisfactory level of performance in the test/interview.
E. Duration For The Programme
viii. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters.
ix. MBA: Minimum of six semesters and maximum of eight semesters.

G. Method of application
Application form can be obtained from the Postgraduate School on payment of non-refundable fee of five thousand naira (N5,000) for the PGD and ten thousand naira (10,000) for the MBA in Bank draft from any of the following Banks. Ecobank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, Diamond Bank, Spring Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank drown in the name of CEC MOUAU. The full name and address of the candidate must be written on the reverse side of the draft. All completed forms should be addressed and returned to:
